There was a person who walks in my life
Sorting through all pain and strife
The baggage was so heavy that is weighted a sista down
I couldn’t go any lower lower lower
Oh I could feel the dirt that was supposed to be under my feet.
Wind blowing from the east, the west, the south and the north
I could see my limbs bending to the left
Help me Lord Jesus to hold on to my faith
The faith that I tell every stranger I meet
“Hold on to your faith, hole on to your destiny”
Here I am standing at a crossroad in my life
Tears streaming down my face at the midnight hour
Being careful not to wake anyone, not to disturb anyone.
Salty water that runs down the stream of my face
Running down my neck all the way down to my breast
I can feel your presence sir
I can smell the incense of honeysuckle
I have smelted this arouma in my times of despair
A graveyard of buried hopes
It is cold and harsh in here
Eighteen years of conflict and unkindness
I preach your gospel, I sing your inspired songs
I have consecrated marriages,
I have anointed many of your creations as they come into this world
But now Lord I need you
In your Word it tell me that “I am with you always:”
So I need you ,right now
God please open this door of despair
There is a knock at my door
It knocks like Jesus, It sounds like Jesus
I open the door to my heart
And let You in , in this old harden heart
In this old tired heart
In this old broken heart
I can feel the heart surgeon repairing my heart
I can feel the heart regulator setting the beat of my heart
I can feel the warmness as the blood run through my veins
I can feel the electric shock going through my body like fire
Thank you my Lord, I can love again..
