” Thaese Hands of Mind’s” 2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
I take pictures, gobs of them, which I love to do daily and twice on Sunday. I love every one of them…I love to flash the camera at my grands every time they walk through the door. Anyone who sits still long enough to take a look.
My best friend looks at my hands a lot. I looked at grandma
(my) hands this morning and I thought through the years these hands have diapers many babies, washed many of faces, wiped away many tears, packed many lunches, handed over many car keys, tucked in many babies good night, clapped many times in Sunday morning worship and held together for many prayers prayed.Oh yes, an annointing and holding every new born baby born in the family.I couldn’t stop the lump from rising in my throat remembering my friend’s words, “Theses hands are beautiful to me.”I just smiled sweetly.
I then began to wonder, when will we women give up the idea that beauty means being perfectly groomed, nail trim and manicured, and wrinkle free. But comes to mind, when we will be sporting a brand-new, prefect spiritual body!Hallelujah!
Meanwhile, as we live out our lives here on earth, we need to encourage one another to take a deeper look at what’s really important, to put aside the luggage that keeps us from traveling through this life, this time, this moment, and focus on things that God is showing us important.
My friend looks beyond the outer appearance and looks into these brown eyes and get a glimpse into my soul. And the one word again that is spoken “Beautiful” Friends,It is absolutely amazing what one word can do! Yes! I would like to give my best friend a word today … as well…..absolutely beautiful.
Let me grow lovely, growing older and wiser. ….so many fine things to do.
