When God was making Paris
He thought, “What can I do”
To create a perfect little girl
To make one of grandma’s dream come true.
He started with cute and healthy
Then added extra smarts
Then threw in lots of giggles
To lighten up our hearts
He made her eyes a great big brown with long eyelashes
And put extra twinkles there
Then stroked her skin with a golden bronze
He placed curls in her soft coal black hair.
He made her brave and made her strong
Part — by—– part——
And made her big enough to share
So everyone could can share one of Granny Fae’s nuggets of treasure
It’s been three years since God sent you
And I’m thankful every day
That he heard the prayer from Grandma and sent this little girl our way.
Every evening when my car pulls into the drive
I can see her house across on the otber side.
There is a phone call and I listens for a voice “Nana, Come pick me Up!”
I smile and take a deep breathe and say come on over.
That makes me feel so bless.
