People to meet, Lessons to learn

Luke 18

How does praying contrast with fainting?

In verse one tells us that if we don’t pray,we will faint.
Simple as that! When you loses heart and get discouraged enough that you want to quit is fainting.
I remember fainting one time at the result of having a heat stroke. It was the most helpless feeling I had ever experienced. I felt myself going, all I could say was,”Help me, Jesus” before crashing unto the floor.I couldn’t do anything about it.But I learned that there was a lesson learned from this.
There is a connection between what our Lord said in Luke18:1 and Luke 17:37,If society is like a rotten corpse, then the atmosphere in which we live is being slowly polluted and I believe that effects our spiritual lives. But I believe when we pray, we draw upon the”pure air” of heaven and this keep us from fainting.
Take your choice: do you want to pray–or faint? Prayer is much more then words of our lips;it is the desires of our hearts, and our hearts are daily desiring before God even if He doesn’t answer.

1Thes.5:17
Pray without ceasing is having the desires in our hearts,in the will of God and asking Him for His blessings.
