Someone

In a relationship, you need somebody who’s gonna call you out, not someone who’s gonna let everything slide. You need someone who doesn’t want to live without you but can. Not somebody that is dependent but somebody who is stronger with you. A relationship is two people, not one.

“I love you but I’m mad at you is one of the most freeing, important things you can say in a stable relationship or in a friendship. To know that you have the ability and the right to be mad at someone and know that it doesn’t mean things are over, that it doesn’t mean things are irreparable. That it just means I’m mad, but I still love you. I love you but for now, I need “alone” time until I cool off.”

If You Ever

“If you’re ever going to love me, love me now while I can know. All the sweet and tender feelings which from real affection flow. Love me now, while I’m living; do not wait ’til I am gone. And then chisel it on marble – words on ice, cold stone.
If you have dear sweet thoughts about me. Why not whisper them to me? Don’t you know it would make me happy and as glad as glad could be? If you wait until I’m sleeping, never to awaken here again, there will be walls of earth between us and couldn’t hear you then. I won’t need your kind caresses when the grass grows over my face. I won’t crave your love or kisses in my last low resting place. So then, if you love me any, if it’s but a little bit.
Let me know while I am living, so I can own it treasure it.

Saying Goodbye

Matthew 11:7-19 KJV

And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?    But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses.    But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.    For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.    Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.    And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.    For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.    And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.    He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.    But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,    And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.    For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.    The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.
Matthew 11:7-19mi

I have been asked to say a few words at a memorial service, beening a pator still is difficult,  yet important.
Cyrus M. Copeland,  says a great eulogy is both art and architecture-a bridge between the living and the dead,  memory and eternity. ”
“What will people. say about me when it’s time to say goodbye?”

There Is

There is no soul mate or best friend out there who will solve every one of your problems. There is no love at first sight that lasts without work and commitment. But there are, however, people out there worth fighting for. Not because they’re perfect, but because they’re imperfect in all the ways that are right for you. You compliment each other’s flaws in a way that allows your souls to unite and operate more efficiently as one. You will know when you meet one of these people, when through them you meet the very best in yourself.

No One

Don’t let anyone invalidate or minimize how you feel. If you feel something, you feel it and it’s real to you. Nothing anyone says has the power to invalidate that, ever. No one else lives in your body. No one else sees life through your eyes. No one else has lived through your experiences. And so, no one else has the right to dictate or judge how you feel. Your feelings are important and you deserve to be heard. They are inherently valid and they matter.Be true to yourself and your body.
