Why A Women Cry

A little boy asked his mother, “Why are you crying?” “Because I’m a woman,” she told him.

“I don’t understand,” he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, “And you never will.”

… “All women cry for no reason,” was all his dad could say…

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, “God, why do women cry so easily?”

God said:

“When I made the woman she had to be special.

I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world,

yet gentle enough to give comfort.

I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed.”

“You see my son,” said God, “the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart – the place where love resides.”

Every woman is beautiful! in her own way.

My Today Boaz

My today Boaz has been here all along, he has been present in my life during the most difficult times of my life. Although I placed him in the friend zone he never placed limits on our friendship or pressured me into anything that was unwarranted. He was there to pray for me when I couldn’t pray for myself, a shoulder to cry on when there was no one else around to listen, and most of all he respects me. He reminds me daily why he chose me, he states how he’s intrigued by my strength, my heart, and most of all… my faith in God. Although he and I are from two different cultural backgrounds, he accepts me for me no matter what my past looks like; he accepts my bruised heart , my flaws, but most of all he loves me for me . I submitted all my burdens to God and became vulnerable with him. Once I did that God shift the atmosphere and revealed to me my future husband. Love is an action; it’s not what’s perpetuated in the media. My help mate understands that “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). We are preparing to form a union and change my last name and become one . “The nations shall see your righteousness, and all the kings your glory, and you shall be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will give (Isaiah 62:2 )”. “House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord (Proverbs 19:14)”. So to my virtuous single praying women just know “ Delay Doesn’t Mean Denial ”. God’s words are true . Keep God first and you will never be last.

Silence

1 Samuel 3:1-10

Some people say that they are waiting to hear from God. Listening for the voice to tell them what they must do
I want you just for a moment to enter this scene with me for a few moments.
Who was with Samuel? An Old Man
Why was Samuel there? His mother dedicated him to the Lord.
How old was Samuel? 12 years at best.
Where was he? In a church by himself. Have you ever been in a church by yourself at night? It can kind of freak you out.
There were no other 12-year-olds in the temple at this time. He had no one to play with.
There was no radio playing, no television to watch, he didn’t have any comic books to read. There was literally nothing to take his mind off of the deafening silence of his lonely circumstances. He was alone in a quiet church with just his thoughts.

Solitude is one of the necessary but also most difficult disciplines. It means time with God in the absence of books, newspapers, magazines, television, facebook or phone calls. Solitude begins with a time and a place for God, and him alone. If we don¡¦t push back the things that crowd our schedule then we are effectively shutting out the word of God from our lives. There are competing distractions from the outside. But we also have to recognize that there are competing distractions from the inside.

Solitude doesn¡¦t mean that we shut out all of our inner doubts, anxieties, fears, bad memories, unresolved conflicts, angry feelings, and impulsive desires. On the contrary, when we have removed our outer distractions, as Henri Nouwen reminds us, we will find that our inner distractions manifest themselves in full force. And if we are honest we will admit that this is really the reason that we fail to sit down in solitude because we don¡¦t have the heart or the desire to confront these challenges.
But it is only in solitude that we can really deal with these challenges. It is here that we bring up the skeletons in our closet for spring-cleaning. It is here that God will speak healing, encouragement, or direction in our lives. If we want to hear from God, we have got to have the courage to practice the discipline of solitude.

A Praise Moment

Enough is not  enough!  Somebody stumbled along the way, but God was enough!  Somebody became weak along the way, but God was enough!  He helped us move from one level of strength to another.  No wonder the songwriter declares: “we bore our burdens in the heat of the day, we know the Lord will make a way, we’ve come a long way Lord, we’ve come a long way.”   We moved from strength to strength by leaning on the Lord!   When there was no way, the Lord, helped us find a way! Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life.” The road may get rough but God is enough!   When there was no hope, the Lord gave us new inspiration! The poet declares: “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness, I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus name.” That reminded us that the rough may get rough but God is enough!   When there was no happiness, the Lord gave us a renewed joy! David cried out to God “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation”

Faith Hopewell

I Corinthians 12:12-31

This brings me to the thought that I want to convey to you this morning. Every believer in this room has been gifted by God for service. And, in this passage, as it unfolds, we are going to see that, while we differ in our gifts, abilities and our position in the body of Christ, we are nonetheless vital and important in the body of Christ. Verse 12 makes it crystal clear that we are distinct in our functions, but we are still one body. The church, not the building, but the redeemed of God, is an organism made of up many millions and billions of parts, yet it is still a cohesive unit, functioning as one.

This morning, lets take a few minutes to look into this passage and see just what it is that the Lord wants to teach us about being the body of Christ.

As I do, I hope you will see that even though you are not like someone else, and even though you may not possess the gifts you want, you are still important to the proper functioning of Christ’s body in the world. Let’s find your place in the body of Christ.
Let’s look in verse 13 :
1. YOUR PLACEMENT IN THE BODY
“We are all.” This is something that takes place in the life of every believer. Every sinner who places is faith in Jesus Christ for salvation experiences this baptism of the Holy Ghost. This is the event that places you in the Body of Christ. The real concern is that every person be sure that he/she is truly saved. Have you in fact trusted Jesus as your personal Savior? Are you truly born again? That is a question that no one but you or God can answer!
I. Your Placement In The Body
II. YOUR POSITION IN THE BODY
(Since every believer is placed into the body of Christ, it is important for us to know how we fit into this body. In this section, Paul calls attention to our position in the body of Christ.)

A. V. 14 Every Believer Is Part Of A Unit – (Ill. The Human Body or an Automobile – Every part is essential to the proper function of the whole, yet the body or the car is thought of as one.) This is true of the body of Christ as well. His body is formed of believers from all walks of life, all cultures, all stratum of society, and all levels of wealth. His body is made up of people who have nothing else in common, except the fact that they have received Jesus as their Savior.
It would be safe to say that the Body of Christ is a unified diversity. When every believer fills his/her place, the place they were assigned by God, then the body functions as it should, God is glorified and the work of the Kingdom is carried out.
If you were to take a gas tank, a tire, a radiator hose and a steering wheel and lay them side by side, nothing would happen. They have absolutely nothing in common, except for the fact that they are part of a unit called a car. Yet, when that tank holds gas, that tire is mounted to a wheel and attached to the car, that hose carries water and that steering wheel is in it place, then the car can function as it should. The same is true of the body of Christ!
B. V. 15-20 Every Believer Is Placed By God – In these verses Paul uses some pretty comical reasoning. A foot, usually, doesn’t get the attention that a hand does, (i.e. handshakes and waving), neither does the ear get the attention afforded to the eye, (i.e. poems, songs, stares of love and longing, etc.). But, just because these parts of the body do not get the attention they think they deserve, they have no right to try and divorce themselves from the rest of the body. If every part were an eye, the body would be useless for anything but seeing. If it were all a foot, it would be good for nothing but a doorstop. What Paul is saying is that God has placed us in the body where He wants us to be. It may not be a high profile position, it may not be glamorous, it may bot even be what we want to do, but if it pleases the Lord, then it is the right place for us. Therefore, no matter where you are functioning within the body of Christ remember that you were placed in that exact office by the will of God. To me, there is no greater knowledge that to know you are walking in the will of God. If I fulfil my place in the body, then I am doing just that. What I am saying is that we need to surrender to our place in Jesus, even if we would like to be something else. You see, God knows us and He knows where we can best function. Therefore, when we submit to His will, He is glorified and His Kingdom is advanced in the world! That after all, should be a primary goal, 1 Cor. 10:31.
C. V. 21-24 Every Believer Plays An Important Role – Again, Paul tells us that every member is important to the proper function of the entire body. The eye cannot tell the hand that it doesn’t need it. If the eyes were disconnected from the hand, it would never be able to attain the object of its desire. The head cannot tell the feet to get lost, for without them, it has no method of locomotion. What Paul is saying is that every part of the body needs every other part to fully carry out the work of the body.
Your human body. Who ever thinks of their liver? Not many of us ever give it a second thought, but take it away from your body and you will know it. Do you ever think about your toes? No, but without them, you would not be able to balance the rest of your body. What about your thumbs? Thank God we have them, or else we would be hampered every minute of our lives. Just think of the many parts of our bodies we take for granted. Yet, if any one of them was removed, the whole body would feel the loss.
Your automobile. When you sit down in you seat to go somewhere, do you ever take time to think about the distributor? The radiator cap? The hood latch? The lug nuts? The oil pan bolts? Probably not! However, they are all essential to the proper operation of the car. If any were to fail or come up missing, you would know it.
The whole point of this section is to teach us that every member, not matter how insignificant their office or gift may appear, is essential to the proper operation of the entire body. No one should ever be guilty of believer that he/she is unimportant to the operation of the body. No one should think that they are not needed. No one should ever say to or about another believer, “We don’t need you.” Every member is vital, every member is important. There are no big “I’s” and little “You’s.” There is only us and we all need each other to function as a body.
Preachers are arguably the most visible people in any congregation. When things go bad we get the blame, when things go good we get the credit. When people talk about any given church, they always talk about the preacher, whether he or she is good or bad. Now, some people are envious of this. They are jealous when someone brags on the preacher and give him or her credit for the success of the church. However, we need to remember that while the glory goes to God for everything that is accomplished, from a human standpoint, no one accomplishes anything by themselves! When we consider the success of the church, it is the preacher that often gets the public recognition. But, for every preacher who got patted on the back for a job well done, there were dozens who were praying for the work and for the preacher and they are just as much a part of the success as the man who gets the recognition. Therefore, whether you are a preacher, (the one being seen), or a knee, (the one praying that nobody see), always remember that you are vitally important to the Lord’s work. If it weren’t for those parts of the body no one sees, the parts we do see would never have any success. We are in this together and we must always remember that. Also remember that God keeps perfect records and He will balance the scales one day. There will be a lot of knees, ears, feet, etc, in the body of Christ that will receive many more rewards than many eyes, hands and so on.
I. Your Placement In The Body
II. Your Position In The Body
III.  YOUR PURPOSE IN THE BODY
To Promote Unity – When every member does his/her part and submits to God in willingly doing what they are called to do, then the body of Christ will function in absolute peace and unity. In our day, there are too many feet who want to be hands and too many ears who want to be eyes. When this happens, the body is fractured and chaos results! God’s plan for His church is that we be united – 1 Cor. 1:10; Phil. 1:27. When we are not in unity, the body of Christ suffers, 1 Cor. 1:10.
Imagine that one day you awakened to find that every part of you body had decided to try and be another part that day. You would be in a mess! It is only when each part functions in the place where God placed them that we can enjoy peace, unity and success in the work of the Lord!
I may not like my place, but I am called on to accept it and function in that place until Jesus comes for me. It is obvious from Scripture that we are not all alike, v. 28-30. Therefore, we should just try to be ourselves and grow where we are planted. Let us learn to function in the body in a manner that promotes unity and peace and success for the entire body.
Your body. You may never take the time to think of your fingers. But, just slam the car door on them and watch how the whole body gets involved in responding to their crisis. The nerves will carry the message to the brain. The brain in turn sends a message to the feet which begin to hop around, to the eyes which water, to the mouth which hangs open in surprise, to the other hand which tries to find the door handle, etc. When one of those less visible members gets into trouble, every thing else responds to the need. The appendix is another good example of a member that is not often thought about, but can get you whole body involved in its misery.
What I am saying is this, we are not just to respond to the needs of the high profile members. We are to practice mutual care that encompasses the entire body. What if the hands refused to give hygiene to the other members? The body would become diseased and have problems. So it is in church. Every member is called upon to look after the need of every other member, regardless of their place in the body of Christ.
This is what Paul means when he tells us to “Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.” Rom. 12:15. We are not to seek a position that glorifies self, but we are to seek the good of the body of Christ and thereby glorify God, Phil.

Dealt The Wrong Cards?

I was talking to a lady the other day  who had many children. She was married and believed in till death do us apart. She would get beaten, cursed out, and treated like a second class citizen. She stayed there for ten years and walked away from her home with her children. She had no where to go but God had provided for her.Help Her Jesus!
Her children are all adults now with children. She says some visit her and some don’t. She goes on to tell me how she took the meager of resources and reared her children. She says don’t get me wrong I love each one of them the same….Hallelujah!Hallelujah.Shacking her head .

Now she’s going through a hard tomes she says. She’s been diagnosed with a terminal illness. My God! I ask her what she’s going to do.,”Laugh, Cry and do the things that I’ve missed. While I have this little time that I have left on this old earth….

She looked at me with tears whaled up in her eyes..live your life baby….live your life to the fullest…you only get one…

Do You Know Your Mother?

There are many good examples in the Bible of good mothers. The mother of Jesus, Mary. Jesus in the manger, in the celebrations, in the times of trouble, even hanging on the cross, Jesus kept his eyes on his mother. If you have watched the Passion of Christ you would see that Mary and Jesus had their eyes on each other. Mary was never far away, from the cradle to the cross, to the grave, his mother, his mama was right by his side.
While hanging on the cross Jesus cried out; Behold thou Mother;.
What do you know about mama? Do you really know her? There are many who live in the same house with the mother in their families and do not know them. Of course we know their names and we know their birthdays, maiden name, education, and other information on any resume, yet with this knowledge can we answer the question? Who is my mother? There are many children who live under the same roof with their mother and do not know her yet. They are familiar with her but we don’;t really know the women we call mother.
Mother;s Day is a celebration of motherhood? It’;s a day for the entire family to have the presence of mother or mother figure in their lives. Today’s celebration is a celebration of women. In our lives who we have come to know as our mother. These women of our birth and most importantly the women who has stepped into our lives after birth. Some mothers by nature and others by nurture.
While mothers know every detail about their children, very few children really know their mother. As years passes and we become we learn how to appreciate her. The woman who gave us the greatest gift of life.
Who is your mother? How well do you know her? What her dream for your life? What is her fears and frustration? Do you know her successes? What about her future? Does she feel loved or appreciated? Has she ever seen her cry or heart been broken? How deep is her love? How wide is her charity? How far will she go for you? Why? Do you know her well enough to do the same?
One more question today? Have you every worn hand me down? If you are the second, third or etc. of the siblings, you probably became affected by the hand me down syndrome. That means you hardly wore anything new. There are many adults today shower their children with new things because they remembered what it felt like to only receive hand me downs.
There are many loved hand me down… wedding dress from mother, a necklace given to you by your beloved grandmother. Old granny rocking chair, old yellow stain Bible with markings, hand me down Proverbs given to us by mother and grandmother. Your mother said them, her mother said them. CLOSE THE DOOR BEHIND YOU. DON’T TALK WITH YOUR MOUTH FULL. STOP BEFORE YOU PUT YOUR EYE OUT. DON’T THROW THINGS IN THE HOUSE.DON’T RUN IN THE HOUSE. DON’T SIT ON THE BED.BETTER WATCH THERE MIGHT BE SNKAE IN THAT GRASS. ALWAYS PUT ON CLEAN UNDERWEAR IN THE MORNING.ALWAYS DRESS TO FAINT. AM I TALKING TO HEAR MYSELF TALK. A HARD HEAD MAKES A SOFT BEHIND.YOU CAN CALL THE CHILD PROTECTION NUMBER ON ME IF YOU WANT, BUT IT’LL BE YOUR LAST NUMBER THAT YOU DIAL.

That kind of love should not go unnoticed and unappreciated. Respond to moms with great love and appreciation. And respond to the God who created motherhood the same way.
Who is My Mother?
Have you ever wondered how mother manage? God mothers are great managers who seem to know how to take the smallest amount of resources and use them for their family nurture. Those who are blessed to have a good mother  in their families have watched those sainted women take a merger resources and stir there way that would provide sustenance for their families for as long as possible. Most mothers are able to provide because their thoughts are always on ways to help members of their family. Lastly, good mothers manage well, because they are always thinking ahead.
Who can find a virtuous women? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil; Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.(v28) Give her the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.(v31)
There is a story that I read somewhere about this daughter was fixing to get married. Her mother asked he to sit down on the floor and let her braid her hair. The daughter thought” Here I am at a crucial point in my life and my mama want to braid my hair. She had 25 years to braid her hair and why now?
Who is my mother?
Mother began to comb the daughter’s hair into three separate strands and then began to explain: ;One of these strands represents you and another represents your husband. If I braid these two together, they will not hold tightly and in a very short while they will come apart. A good braid, however, has three strands although it looks like two. The third strand keeps the other two fro, falling apart.
In your marriage, the third strand is God, for God is real love. That is the secret to a happy marriage. The daughter was so happy that she refused to take down her hair. As the daughter walked down the aisle, beneath her veil and headdress, tucked away tightly in a full head of well-dressed hair, was a single braid. A reminder that God was there! I would like to pass on some attributes that I get from this story.
Character. Loyal to Her Husband. Loyal to Her Family. A Friend to the Needy.
This kind of women can only do what she does if she knows the Lord!
This is the kind of woman who know that prayer changes things!
This is the kind of woman whosimage

e love is inscribed in the heart of those who know her and every day is a testimony of faith and courage.
