My Daughter

MY DAUGHTER
She started out life as a tiny little dot
Me not even knowing she was there

She soon made me oh so aware with the thrust of her limbs
This child is different I can feel

Soon the time came to show her to quickly She fought her way out even on Christmas Day.

Kicking and screaming she showed me the way
That things would soon be alright

Bright eyes and beaming she looked around at the world
She was born SPECIAL as I looks at her beautiful face.

Growing so slowly in size and in love I cared for her the best that I could alone with five. And taking great care to keep her safe.

The reasons very well understood. She grew as I did and all around knew of the bundle of joy I had.

I had to fight against some obstacles to help nature repair a flaw which was only skin deep.

But found it was quite a hard struggle
Life for her was not going to be so kind

And I learned the meaning of struggle. She suffers in silence and never complained
No matter how she was treated by others
Nothing was said.

what burdens she bears trapped in this body.
How could she tell her Queen who she were
Playing basketball, football and etc.
She thought to herself that this will surely kill my Momma’s joy to know

One day on my way to college my daughter, my friend
Bring out the news
I was stunned by the words
But I remembered as life with her flash as a camera of memories
Yes I know
Yes I love you
Yes I understand
This what the Man tells us in His Word about Unconditional Love.

She had grown into a woman even though she’s of another

Still helping others and offering hope
She loves and supports and cares for her brothers
Even when she’s reached the very pit of despair
That would crush the best of most men
She picks herself up and shakes herself off
And gets ready to go at it again
How she keeps going at the pace that she does
That’s the part of me shared in the DNA of my despair
I would tell her of my voyages and now she’s able to sail.
